The Oliver McGowan Training on Learning Disability and Autism:
Optometrists have been offerred a unique time limited opportunity to receive this fully funded training.
We are currently looking into whether this could be made available for Dispensing Opticians also.
This Training has been developed to capture the most important skills needed by all staff working across health and social care.
The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training is co-delivered by trainers with learning disability and autistic people and is delivered in a standardised way – so everyone gets the same level of training and outcomes. It is the government’s preferred and recommended training for health and social care staff.
