He is a great believer in enhancing the profile and role of optometrists His past roles have included Secretary and Treasurer of the Local Optical Association and a visiting clinician at Anglia Ruskin University Optometry Department. Currently he is the Optical Advisor for NHS East for Norfolk.

OFNC Statement: CPD Payment in England for 2025/26 – Update
Support for CPD is part of GOS fees and grants negotiations with DHSC (previously NHS England). No proposals have been made to change CPD arrangements. However, the arrangements for 2025/26 remain subject to ministerial decision, as part of the current negotiations.
